Bella Summerfield and Homer Kyriakos arrive in Athens; the first port-of-call in the cruise’s itinerary. Bernadette Dupris is arrested for the murder of her husband and taken to the Athens’ police department – awaiting sentencing since she’s pleaded guilty to murdering Gregory. Whilst at port, Bella receives a strange phone call from Bernadette’s sister. Adrienne meets with Bella and Homer at the Promenade Bistro where Adrienne explains that she believes her boyfriend, Frederick, has poisoned Gregory. Homer and Bella analyze the situation carefully and suggests that Bernadette changes her plea to “Not Guilty” and that her lawyer presents a defense that introduces doubt as to Bernadette’s culpability.
